This was our first time boarding our beloved Beagle Sammy & I have to say it was a great experience for her & us! The staff was so friendly & made us feel very comfortable with leaving her for 5 nights for the first time since we rescued her 2 years ago! I felt very comfortable knowing she was in good hands & would be well taken care of. She came home happily tired from all of the fun in the yard with the other dogs & also smelled great after her bath. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Sammy & we are so happy & relieved to finally have a safe, fun place for her to go when we go on vacations & are unable to take her with us!

I feel that Harry had a nice stay at the Barkers Hotel. He was glad to see us after four days, but when he got home he slept for two days. I hope he played in the new pool as starting next we ha ving a pool installed and hope Harry will enjoy it. We are very happy with Harry's appearance, and feel he had a great time.

My family member, Beau had a medical emergency last night at 7 PM. We called the office and the receptionist had us come over immediately to be seen. When we arrived at 8:30 PM we were seen promptly by a friendly receptionist, and a wonderful assistant. Dr. Yvonee Mercak attended to Beau, performing a complete examination and prescribing the appropriate medications. We were extremely satified with the visit and the friendliness of the staff. Thank You.

To all the staff at Barkers Hotel: Thank you so much for the wonderful care and attention you provided to Bonnie & Clyde. We have never left them with anyone and thanks to your attentive and caring staff we are looking forward to a vacation on our own! Bonnie & Clyde came back to us happy, healthy, exhausted and clean. We couldn't have asked for more. Everyone made us feel comfortable with leaving our pups in such capable hands. We appreciate the follow up call as well. Your establishment is truly a diamond in the rough and the staff is compassionate and well trained in working with animals and their parents as well! Thanks again. Our next trip will be stress free knowing they are in such capable hands. Can't wait for the completion of the water park!! Steve & Barbara Green

Our beagle Nikko has been staying at Barkers since he was a puppy (he's almost 6 now). He seems so happy when we take him for his monthly "spa days". He loves the staff at Barkers so much, he runs in around the desk to greet them with licks every time. And we can tell he has fun with his doggie friends because he's exhausted when he comes home. We recommend Barkers and Simmons Vet to all our friends with pets. Thanks so much to everyone there! Nikko's Parents, The Andersens

Barker's took care of out two large dogs and two guinea pigs for 8 days. They had never been left by us for that long and we were extremely concerned about their long term care. We couldn't be happier with the care and attention our animals received, and the thorough updates when called. Barker's was recommended to us from another client just 2 days before our departure (we WERE going to another boarding place) but after touring Barkers we could NOT go any place else, and they took our reservation on a short notice, holiday week! We will be going back, and they can even watch our cat and bearded dragon! Thanks to all the staff, your hard work shows and is appreciated. The Petritis Family Zoo

We recently returned to Florida permanently, so our Buddy is back at Barkers now & then for boarding. For the 2.5 years we were out of state, we missed the staff & the care that Buddy received. And he missed his friends - especially Bev! We've never felt more comfortable than when we've left Buddy at Barkers for boarding. Knowing that veterinarians are on-site and can address any unexpected issues is a comfort. The convenience of the groomers is also, well, a convenience. We're grateful to you all! Happy has vacationed at Barkers Hotel many times. But recently he has stayed quite often and for lengthy periods of time. The staff always makes a fuss when he enters and he always seems eager to go. When I get his food ready at home he realizes where he is going, and seems anxious to go. I've never had to force him to go into the Barkers Hotel-he seems eager to enter-which makes it easier on his parents to leave him. The staff has always been very pleasant and helpful, andthe follow-up phone calls are a nice touch. I feel very confident knowing the doctors are on site and have been very competent anytime we've used them. Keep up the good work! Happy Marmer's Mom & Dad.

Lucky always gets such great TLC when he stays at Barkers. He's pretty attached to us since he's a rescue, but it's nice to know he's well taken care. Thanks to all the terrific staff!

To Dr. Questa and the Staff at Barkers Hotel, Sanibel and Darwin had a very good first experience at Barkers. They came home so clean and their coats were shinning. Dr. Questa made us feel comforted when Sanibel had an unexpected seizure just as we arrived for their drop-off. We were so thankful that Simmons Veterinary Hospital is part of Barkers and she was taken immediately there for successful treatment. Thank you for sending her back to boarding after a few hours to spend time with her brother Darwin. Everyone on the staff is sensitive to the needs of the pets and their owners. With much appreciation, Susan,Stanley,Sanibel and Dawin.

Our cat Dinky is 13 years old and 19lbs (big cat). He has a likely UTI. Dr. Samantha Scher took care of our baby bear. I highly recommend her, she is awesome. Very nice, ask for her. *****-5 Stars! Our Rauhaardackel (Ludwig van Schnitzel Erdek; Louis for short and pronounced Lou-ee) loves his Groomer Wanda. She does an excellent job grooming our pup. It is important that the wire haired dachshund is groomed properly. Wanda knows how to do it right. *****-5 Stars!

I adopted my 8 month old cat from Belvedere Animal Shelter/Control and she had a Free Pet Exam Certificate that came with her adoption. My mother had adopted a cat from the same shelter 6 months prior and had taken her cat to Simmons Veterinary Center for her Free Pet Exam Certificate and they the staff at Simmons treated my mom's cat like royalty there. My mom's cat had Upper Respitory, ear mites, fleas and worms when she adopted her and Simmons took great care of her. Because Simmons Veterinary Center had treated my mom's cat so well, I chose to take my newly adopted cat there. I knew my cat was healthy, but since she came with the certificate for a free exam, I took her to be examined. They spent almost an hour giving her a complete exam and they were so warm and caring with her treatment. My cat had the complete exam and I was even sent a Christmas card with my cat's picture on it for the holidays. Simmons Veterinary Center is definately where I will take both my cat's too for future exam's and heaven help me, I will take them to Simmon's should there be any other issues!! I highly recommend Simmon's Veterinary Center!!!

Hi! We just wanted to say thanks! for taking such great care of our Shih Tzu Lucy. She loves coming to Doggie Day Care on Fridays and we can tell she was spoiled rotten when she recently stayed for a week at Barkers Hotel. We do not think she wanted to come home. We have noticed a lot of positive changes since she has been coming to visit. Before she used to be shy around strangers and now she will walk up and let strangers pet her. She is also more active when we take her to the dog park. She still has her days where she would rather lounge around and watch from the sidelines. On most days though, she is in the middle of the action chasing the other dogs. Thanks again! Mary & Joe Berger

Nicky and Ruby May truly enjoyed their first time at doggy day care! They were all wiggles when we picked them up that evening and are looking forward to their extended stay. I couldn't believe they sat still long enough for the cute pictures. Thank you. It was a good experience for all of us and we will use day-care again.

Every employee at Simmons is well trained and pleasant to work with. My dog has always had great experiences at Barkers Hotels and the vet. Thank you for all you do.

Ruby is always so happy and thoroughly exhausted when we pick her up from the Barkers, we know how busy she is because we check her out on the wesite during playtimes (always comforting to be able to check on her when we are separated). The staff is so warm and caring, we know she gets plenty of love and attention.

Our Great Dane Spenser recently spent 10 days at Barkers. He had so much fun that he was exhausted when we picked him up. Everyone at Barkers takes such good care of him, espcially knowing we were concerned that he might have issues with the slippery floors. But he did just great. We always know Barkers will take the best care of Spenser for us!

Moose and now Bambino have been borders for many years, for short and long periods of time. We have peace of mind, whenever we travel, because we know that our boys are in good hands. I truly appreciated the call ( 5/29/10) about Moose's ear problem and the steps taken. It shows that the staff cares. Also they always smell and look so good when we picked them up after grooming. Thank you for caring for our boys. Claude & Denise Rigaud

My husband and I were pleased with the excellent that Queen of Sheba and Hercules received at the Purrington Inn while we were on vacation. It is comforting to be able to leave them in capable hands and not worry if they are being taken care of. Sometimes when others "watch" your pet for you, you know upon your return that things were not handled in the manner you desired. Thanks again. Our pets appeared well fed and their grooming was above reproach. They looked and smelled wonderful Sharon and George Siler

Just a note to thank everyone for taking care of my Buster. Buster is very shy and has a hard time with other dogs...Everyone seems to understand him and gives him the extra love he needs. He no longer shakes when we pull up and I am sure I saw him smile the last time we came to Barkers HOtel. Linda Gottlieb and Buster Brown

Our Ruby loved her stay at Barkers Hotel. We were nervous, never having been away from her so long, but I believe wholeheartedly that her vacation was better than ours! She came home happy, healthy and smelling great. She truly had a spa vacation. No one thought it was odd that we called to check on her constantly, and the wonderful staff at Barkers went so far as to follow up with us via email, ecards and by phone to insure her stay was memorable and good. It indeed was. I could not have asked for a better place for my baby to stay, and she cannot wait to come back now for daycare! Thank you to every single staff member who gave her such wonderful care, I have never seen a place like Barkers, it is truly one of a kind and top notch! Hugs and Kiss from Ruby! XOXOXO

Dear friends (And from what I've gathered, Brandon has a lot of 'em at Barker's )....It really was a "pawsitive" experience for Brandon. I can't tell you how my heart was in my throat as we drove off on Wed leaving him behind. Brandon is a special case which would ordinarily require him to be under the assisted living program. But you guys worked with us to try to make it work at Barker's....and because of your competence, conscientiousness and "pawsitive" attitude - it did. And for that I am eternally grateful. Brandon is used to having us around all day, doting over him and basically making him the center of attention and the staff at Barker's picked up where we left off - a seamless transition which I know I would never find anywhere else. I am indebted to your staff and want to thank you again for showering him with your attentiveness and superb care that is rooted not only in your professionalism but in your genuine affection for animals. Please stick around forever. :) Very best, Randi Locke
